A Real Big Coffee Brand I Can’t Mention Yet © - 2023

I created two expressive hand drawn typefaces based off current fonts in their brand guidelines.

Panama - 2022
Beautiful Destinations

I was tasked to build a typeface inspired by the “perfectly imperfect” nature of Panama. Hand built with strategic imperfections (that still kerned nicely), this design was meant to capture a free spirited, wild country without looking childish, cute, or sloppy. This typeface was used in the “Live for More” tagline lockup, as well as headlines and supporting campaign content. I was lucky enough to also illustrate the Giphy stickers. It’s a good day when you’re paid to draw a sloth. Check out more examples of the typeface in use here.

The Feminist Letters - 2018
Y&R New York

Born from a sketchbook page, The Feminist Letters was the first full-scale campaign where I served as a copywriter and illustrator. Each letter was illustrated by hand, scanned and digitized, polished in Illustrator, then handed off to the Art Director for animation.

Pandora Jewelry - 2016
Grey New York

For Pandora’s digital holiday season campaign, we decided to add a little bit of hand-illustrated spice. I created a holiday inspired script style for Snapchat ads and filters, in addition to seasonal line art illustrations.

Fun fact: those are my hands.
Did I get a company-paid manicure for this? Yes!
Did I maintain my composure when the art director asked me to “make my fingers look more expressive”? Also yes!
Did I get to keep the jewelry? No!

Typography - 2014
Wall Dressed Up KC

I love to find the intersection between writing and art. During my internship at Wall Dressed Up, I was able to explore my interest in a type driven illustration style. Check out some illustrations still for sale and more on their etsy shop!
